Omg what an amazing hotel! Was a bit of a nightmare to find as the Greek roadsigns aren't always the best, and it is very high up in the mountain, so you need a really good map. The Hotel had put their own signs up near the hotel which were very helpful. The hotel is of a top quality finish, and George & Gina were not there when we arrived, but we were made to feel more than welcome by their Aunty Mary who was visiting from Canada. Food was Superb, (Mostly homemade by George) Sausage, Smoked ham, Cheese, Bread etc. and when Gina arrived she made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was yummy with a superb omelette and I even took an early morning in their natural pool!!
The only thing that I missed in this hotel was a fridge.

Hotel Faris was easily our best stay of all places during our 3 week vacation. Although the trek up the mountain to the hotel was intimidating at first, once we arrived it was all worth it. The hotel is perched on the top of a mountain, with indescribable scenery, cool mountain air, and absolutely fantastic food. The owners, Gina and George, were absolutely amazing during our stay andmade us feel rigth at home. If travelling to the area, you MUST stay at Hotel Faris.

incredible hotel, marvelous background at the top of a mountain, outstanding view. owner very helpful and friendly, english spoken. french spoken with the owner's wife when around (week-end and school holidays). small outdoor swimming-pool (10m wide). typical home-made local food for a reasonable price.
only the bread wasn't very good (annotation for french people like me....)

great place, great people, great food, great time - too short! It was a huge surprise! Thank you very much! We are happy to come back...
waste of time looking for problems ... maybe refrigerator in the room (?), but who needs a refrigerator in the room if you live in a wonderful location with wonderful hosts ! 10/10 :) nothing more!

The service was professional and friendly. The food was fantastic: local produce, well cooked and with lots of background information as to recipes. The room was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and well appointed. The views were absolutely wonderful. Can't praise it enough.
The booking agency map for the hotel was wrong and needs to be changed immediately.

Everything was wonderful. The staff were warm, friendly, and very helpful. The room was very comfortable and well suited for the entire family. The view was incredible and the food (especially the breakfast) was amazing. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to get away and just relax and enjoy the mountains.

Fabulous location and the owner (George) was very attentive and couldn't do enough for us. The mountain views were fabulous and we found it very relaxing. The room was also lovely and we were able to wake up to view of the early morning sun on the mountains.

We just came from Greece, and we already miss George Kokourou & his family! Everything was incredible: the narrow (and difficult) road up, the mountain view from the hotel terrace, the clear sky, the silent mountain pool, the delicious loukoumades that George served us in the morning (thx again!), the cozy room, the friendly chat in the evening with Mr. George, in front of a cold Amstel beer... There are a few places where we'd like to came back: Faris Hotel is definitely in Top 5. I've almost forget: thx to George for giving us a great tip: the Diros Caves in the Mani Peninsula. Go there, you won't regret it. Conclusion: it's 100% worth it.

Excellent accommodation with the best view of Taygetos. A very friendly environment and a very good local cuisine. Though it appears a perfect hotel for autumn - winter vacation it was an excellent choice for a relaxation interval between other destinations within the Peloponnese peninsula. We hope we'll be able to visit again.

My daughter and I stayed at the Hotel Faris for two days and wished we could have stayed longer. The owners George and Gina (and their two teenage children) were fantastic. Friendly, helpful and very hardworking. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel itself was custom built by the owners and everything in the Hotel and the grounds is beautiful from the floor tiles to the mountain water pool. The food was also really lovely, with some great authentic greek touches and fresh, tasty local produce. The hotel is perched on top of a mountain with amazing 360 degree views.

George and his wife who run the hotel are friendly and helpful. We felt like they were our old friends. They have the best traditional restaurant we visited in Greece at very reasonable price. Perfect place for people who like peace and mountains with a bit of luxury. Good place if you want to explore south Peloponnese by car or hike in the mountains. Definitely the best hotel we stayed in Greece.
Everything was ok. They even have a kind of a swimming pool with water from mountain stream, what was important for children who missed the sea.

Its location high up the mountain. The food was very well prepared and reflected local dishes and home style cooking. This was the best hotel, value for money on our ten day trip.
